What is an Item Upgrader in Pokemon Go?

The item upgrader adds a brand new widget to the top of the Angel and Cash Upgrade windows. The Manager is priced at 33 billion Angel Investors, and has no gameplay benefit other than making it easier to purchase upgrades.

Certain items come with a built-in boos, which is less beneficial when upgraded. For example the Goldwrap offers an additional slots for potion. These are often upp'd to inject more value into an item that is perfect or close to being perfect.

Costs

Upgrades have certain costs associated with them. The first is the cost for the upgrade. This cost can be expensive and is dependent on the new value of the item and the number perks it gains. It can also be costly to upgrade an item to a higher tier (such as Explorer > Champion, or Veteran > Heroic).

The other is the cost of the items required for an upgrade. These items are usually Power Dices (dropped from monsters 21+), Minerals and Erons, or specific Mists of Pandaria or Warlords Of Draenor Quests. The amount of these items needed can be found in the inventory of an upgrade vendor.

Upgrades to an Best item upgrader (check these guys out) are an intricate process that takes time. Depending on the size of the upgrade, it can take anywhere from 8 to 12 hours. The base stats of an upgraded item are calculated based upon its new ilvl and other properties. A Blacksmith Blessing, or an upgraded version of it can be used to boost the chances of a successful upgrade. This item is useful if you have an item or weapon equipment that has reached the maximum level for its tier, or is close to it. It allows you to upgrade that piece of gear to the next level without risking breaking.

If an upgrade fails the upgrade will be reversed to its previous state. This is often an upgrade, but it could also be an upgrade. It is an excellent idea to save an upgrade for when you are close to the maximum capacity of an item, and then use it as a last resort.

There are several items in the Kafra shop that can be used to improve the chances of an upgrade succeeding. For example upgrading an equipment using HD Oridecon or HD Elunium multiple times will give you an increased chance of success. The success rate will also be increased if you can increase the chance of getting a Double Mint by Shoe-Minting five times.

Failure Rate
