WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades can give you an increase in certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by 3. A random extra substat is also increased with every upgrade.

Upgraded gear generally sees more value in trade, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or very high stat variance (like the eth titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the necessity to roll for a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapon. The item used to upgrade the item is discarded and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be used to create the enchantments.

The upgrader is located in all major cities and can be accessed anytime to upgrade your gear. To keep your gear up-to-date, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every several weeks.

Upgrades will cost more depending on the item level, however they'll always be less expensive than purchasing new gear. For instance upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points while purchasing the same item from another player will cost 105.

Upgrades are items that can be used for tools, armor, weapon, and accessory upgrades. Crests
