Line-up

Turn Back, the band's third studio album it was a return to a classic sextet structure, and it was a more consistent, more powerful effort with a harder edge. Its more punk-rock sound was indicative of the maturation of group and included drummer Bobby Kimball's increased ability on the drums and a more confident, mature vocal delivery by singer Joseph Williams. David Paich's keyboard playing was also more sophisticated, sharper, and less derivative on previous efforts.

After touring to promote the album, the group recorded a live show in Amsterdam that was released as a two-CD set titled Falling In Between Live on Eagle Records.
