A08L Electric Wheelchair - For Users Up to 25 Stone (160kg)

It is designed for people who weigh up to 25 stone (160kg). The wheelchair can be folded down to an extent that allows it to be easily lifted into and out of the boot.

This powerchair can be fitted with Invacare's Modulite seating system that provides support for posture and comfort to the user. Twin batteries are available for a range of 27 miles.

A06L

This robust model is based on the popular A06 Freedom Chair and can accommodate up to 25 stones/160kgs. The chair is equipped with twin 300 watt motors that will propel you along at speeds up to 4mph with the ability to travel up to 9 miles from one battery (a second battery can be added).

When not in use, it is compact and lightweight travel electric wheelchair. It is easy to transport and store. This makes it perfect for those who have to travel with their chair by plane, car or cruise ship as it fits easily into the cabin. It also has airline approved lithium-ion batteries and an adaptor cable to charge off-board.

The powerchair is controlled by a joystick mounted on either armrest. It is able to be used either left- or motorized Mobility chair right-handed. The foot plate can be raised to allow easy user transfers, and the tyres are 12" all-terrain PU which means it can tackle more challenging terrain.

A handy under-seat storage bag and fixed zippered pocket on the seat back provide ample space to store personal belongings. To ensure safety for the user there are electronic brakes and an adjustable lap belt.

The Freedom A06L is more compact and easier to maneuver than a motorized mobility chair wheelchair and can be pushed into tight spaces, such as elevators or shopping centers. It can climb gradients up to 8%. An optional kerb climber is available to drive up an incline or ramp without requiring assistance. Other features include a chair and back cushions that are removable for easy cleaning and the captain's seat that swivels with arm rest height adjustment. The chair comes fully-equipped and ready for use and comes with everything you need in the box. You can even choose the color of the shrouds with contours as well as castors and wheel rim inserts.

A08L is the larger version of our top-selling A06 electric wheelchair. It comes with two main variations in the size of the rear drive wheels as well as the power of the motors which drive them. This more powerful configuration means that the powerchair is able to support a maximum weight of 25 stone (160kg). It also achieves an top speed of 6.5 km/h (4 mph). The tyres with PU on this model are larger, making it more suitable for rougher terrains. The control system uses electromagnetic braking to make it simple to stop and slow down.

This model isn't just practical, but also very simple to use and fold. This makes it perfect for those who frequently travel using their electric wheelchairs since it can be quickly folded to the smallest dimensions and then wheeled away using the back rest as handles. The anti-tip wheels make it much easier to manoeuvre and the powerchair can easily fit into the trunk of a car or the luggage compartment of public transport.

One battery is included in this model however an additional and third battery are available to provide a range of up to 18 miles or 27 miles, respectively. This is more than enough for the majority of everyday activities and the powerchair is able to be used for travel since it is made to meet international regulations for carry-on luggage on flights. The storage compartment in the under seat is ideal for storing all your personal belongings. The controls can be adjusted to suit either left- or right-handed users. To protect yourself, there's a manual emergency brake and an additional seat belt for peace of mind.
