Car Seat Buggy 2 in 1 - Combos That Are Easy to Use

However, even the BOB Revolutionflex 3.0 Combo and the Baby Jogger City Mini GT 2 in 1 pushchair Combo can be pushed by one hand.

Certain models are difficult to remove or attach from the base. The Doona Combo requires a two step attachment process, and straps that cover the bottom of the infant carrier. It's tempting to skip these steps, however this could lead to unsafe results.

Some models are more difficult to fold and store than others, which makes them less practical. The Graco FastAction 3-in-1 Car Seat Stroller, for instance, is difficult to fold due to its large dimensions and heavy frame. Some users are also disappointed by the canopy of this model to be unsatisfactory. The Britax Parkway Combo Click and Go is easy to fold with just the push of a button and a pull of the lever. It is also a great option for parents who are planning to use their car seat on other people's vehicles because it can be removed from the base and attached to any standard stroller.

Easy to Fold

It should be easy to unfold and fold the car seat, regardless of whether you're storing it inside your trunk or a closet. The best combinations we've tested fold easily with one hand and are strong enough to be used on long walks. They're also easy to maneuver, moving smoothly over bumps and uneven surfaces. Some combos can only be attached and detached by straps. This could be a bit like a second step and make it difficult for parents to secure their car seat properly.

The BOB Revolution Flex Combo is an excellent choice for its sturdy construction and practical features, including a huge storage bin that can be accessed from the back or front. Its exclusive SafeCenter LATCH makes it easy to ensure a secure car seat installation by connecting the lower anchors, pulling the straps tight and clicking the carrier into the base.

It is also relatively light and compact, making it a great option for families and frequent travelers who have multiple vehicles. Both the Baby Jogger City Mini GT 2 Combo, and the Thule Urban Glide 2 scored very well in our ease of use tests. Both have one wheel that's simple to push with one hand. Both have one front wheel that is easy to push (one-handed!). They also have a movable swing wheel, which is ideal for shopping and running errands. The only issue is that they're quite heavy and may be difficult to lift when carrying a child in car seats.

Easy to Assemble

Some stroller and car seat combos can be tricky to assemble. The UPPAbaby Cruz v2 Combo is one of the easiest travel systems to put together. It even includes a helpful guide. Other models, including the UPPAbaby Minu and UPPAbaby Vista V2 Thule urban Glide 2 and baby pram 2 in 1 Trend Snap-N-Go EX Universal were also fairly simple to assemble. In contrast, the BOB Revolution Flex 3.0 Combo is difficult to put together as it requires two steps - attaching the lower anchors, and using straps that are placed over the bottom portion of the carrier. It's heavy so it takes two people to click the carrier in the base, and then to remove it.

In our tests, it took us about 5 minutes to put the UPPAbaby Cruz v2 together, which is relatively fast when you consider how much time it can save by not having to take out each piece. The toddler seat can be slid into and detached easily on most of these models.
