About Toto

In the course of recording the band's fifth album the band loses their manager and are faced with financial difficulties. They decide to record a brand new album and change their name an entirely different producer. The lead singer Fergie Frederiksen departs and is replaced by Joseph Williams, son of the legendary film composer John Williams and 1950s actress Barbara Ruick. Joseph is an easier frontman than Frederiksen and gives the band a needed boost.
