The buggies are easy to maneuver and agile, thanks to a 360o front swivel wheel. They also meet the same stability standards globally and test as 4-wheel buggies.

If you're looking for a cloth sling, then they are typically placed lower in the frame than modular seats, so that your baby's center of gravity is closer to the ground which means a smoother ride and a lighter kerb pop (you don't need to apply the same amount of pressure or effort to lift the buggy over and up a kerb).

Its most appealing feature is its modularity it's compatible with all of the car seats for infants from the brand and strollers. This means you can create your ideal travel system for day-to-day or longer walks, using only the chassis as a starting point.

Tyres

The tyres for 3 wheel buggies are available in a variety of styles and materials, and each has its pros and cons. For instance, air-filled tyres, offer an effortless ride and superior maneuverability, while foam-filled tires are more durable. The type you choose will depend on your lifestyle and where you live.

For instance, if you intend to frequently travel on rough or unpaved terrain, you may want to consider a 3-wheeler that has sturdier tires. Also, you should consider the type of suspension you require. Strong suspensions are useful to tackle humps and bumps however they can be quite heavy and add to the overall weight.

MFM reviewer Kath really put this buggy to the test by taking it for a walk through rough ground and she was impressed with how it adapted to the terrain well, stating that it 'flies easily over grass, bumpy pavements, cobbles dirt tracks, and can be a breeze climbing and descending the kerbs'.

The Roma Atlas is another popular off-road model and, similar to the Urban Glide 2, comes in a range of colours to complement your style. It also has an adjustable handlebar and a large basket. You can also pick from a selection of infant car seats to transform the buggy into a pram, such as the stylishly designed carrycot plus(tm) which is a cosy lie flat crib for babies and infants from 12 months to 12 years old.

Safety

Four wheels make a buggy more stable and less likely to tip over and is easier to maneuver. It is also more secure for your child since the weight of their body is evenly distributed across the frame.

However, if you want to go for a run with your baby then a 4-wheeler may be more suitable as it comes with a suspension system that allows the front wheel to move independently of the back wheel to allow you to tackle bumpy roads and rough terrain be aware that not all 4 wheel buggies are suitable for running (most are NOT, such as the Phil and Teds). The exception is Mountain Buggies which have a specially-designed suspension system that has been tested independently across all kinds of terrain.
