Buying a Pram Newborn

Prams and pushchairs are multifunctional, versatile companions of caregivers and parents. They are the co-pilots of your child's next adventure.

A pram newborn is a dedicated stroller for infants and newborns. It is a solid, deep carrycot that is soft, safe walls.

A pram will typically come with a bassinet, but it can be converted to a stroller seat when baby is ready.

Safety

The newborns of today are extremely fragile and need to be kept as safe as possible. Most prams that are used from birth will come with a seat unit that will recline to a lay-flat pram mode for babies younger than the age of one and transform into a pushchair unit for older children.

The suspension of the pram will determine how smooth it runs. A pram that has a lot of spring suspension will cost more, but it is worth the extra expense if you plan to use your pram each day for a couple of years or more.

Always take the time to read the instruction manual thoroughly and check the warning labels for your pram or stroller. It is also important to ensure that your stroller is parked in a safe spot free of bicycles, traffic or any other dangers when it's not being used. You should also remove any bags or other items that are not removed from the handles, since they could cause your baby to get caught or choke.

Even if the baby seems asleep, it's not recommended to leave a pram or stroller unattended. They could wiggle and get stuck or the pram might roll away and they might be injured. Hanging bags or other items from the handles is not an ideal idea since they could fall and hit your child in the head.

Comfort

It is essential that newborns have the option of lying flat, as this promotes lung and back development. Cocoons or carriers are available on a variety of prams. It is important to take into account your baby's transportation needs when buying a newborn pram.
