Buying a Pram Newborn

Prams and pushchairs are the multifunctional, versatile companions of caregivers and parents. They're the co-pilots of the new adventure of your child.

A pram newborn is a dedicated stroller for newborns and babies. It is a sturdy, deep carrycot with soft walls and safe.

A pram is typically equipped with a bassinet but can be transformed into an infant stroller seat once baby is ready.

Safety

Newborns need to be secured as much as possible. Buying a stroller or pram with safety features will ensure that your baby is safe and secure while traveling. A pram or stroller must include a break that is working, a 5-point harness (2 shoulder straps with two waist straps and an e-crotch belt) and a wrist tether for the person pushing it. Check that the pram you choose meets these standards.

Find a pram which allows your baby to ride in the position recommended for lying flat. This position is supportive for your baby and prevents the development of a risky curvature in their spine that can lead to spinal issues. It reduces the risk of SUID (Sudden Unexpected Infant Death Syndrome) or asphyxiation by ensuring that the airways are open. The majority of prams that can be used from birth will include the seat unit, which will recline into a lie-flat pram mode for babies younger than the age of one and transform into a pushchair unit for older children.

The suspension of a twin pram will determine how smoothly it is. A pram with lots of suspension is likely to be more expensive but it may be worth paying for this feature if you are planning on using your pram everyday for a couple of years or more.

Always take the time to go through the instruction manual and examine the warning labels for your stroller or pram. Comfort
