Ickle Bubba XL Air

This lightweight pushchair from Ickle Bubba is packed with lots of features that parents will love. The travel system comes with a lie flat carrycot for newborns and an adjustable forward and rear facing seat for the pushchair.

The XL Air is a really impressive car, and it's easy to see why it's been awarded so many praises from customers. It's incredibly light - the wheels and chassis weigh just 6.5kg - and it's also easy to put together. In fact I was able to complete the entire setup and running in just five minutes, which is pretty amazing considering that it also included the tying of the fabric to the carrycot!

It has a nice wide, comfortable seat that was comfortable for Annie (who is 12 months old) and the recline lever is simple to use. The basket is spacious with plenty of room and I find it nice that the handle bar comes with an area to keep your phone and keys safe.

The handlebar is low, which may be an issue for parents who are taller. But, it's covered with a luxurious leather-like material that is soft and comfortable and cleans down easily, meaning it's still a breeze to push with children and bags on your hands!

Hauck Pushchair Runner

The Runner is made for sporty parents who are eager to go out and explore. Its large pneumatic wheels were designed to be used on forest and field trails, and the front 3 wheel baby strollers can be rotated and locked for extra versatility. The stroller also comes with five-point safety harnesses with a front bar that keeps your child safe during every trip. The parking brake will keep the stroller stationary as you take a break. The seat can be adjusted to lay flat and the canopy can be opened to allow for maximum air circulation during hot days. The handle can be adjusted by more than 30cm, to fit mom or dad.

The Runner will accompany you on any adventure whether it's a short jog, a longer hike, or a long-distance walk. It comes with a lay-flat seat with suspension air wheels for smooth and comfortable riding. The front wheel can be locked for greater stability on narrow streets or crowded sidewalks. The stroller can also fold up to fit in car boot spaces and storage areas.

The Runner 2 is a bit more difficult to maneuver for some parents than its predecessor. Additionally the locking system (requiring two buttons on either side of the handlebar) is less user-friendly. The handlebar is a little higher than other strollers', so it might not suit shorter parents, but overall this is an extremely sturdy and flexible stroller worthy of consideration for families with active kids.

It's their newest and most expensive addition to their budget-friendly stroller line. Like the Ickle Bubba Aurora or Yoyo it's car seat compatible so you can use it from the time of birth.

The new Pace has some amazing design elements, like the rose gold hue to the chassis, hood and stroller trims that really set it apart from its competition. The stroller and car seat fabrics are fashionable in tan, grey and cream. You can also add handles made of leather and a bumper bar to match.

It's suitable from birth to a maximum weight of 22kg and the stroller seat easily converts from the carrycot into the 2-in-1 reversible mode. It can be parent or world-facing. The stroller seat has various lie-back positions, comfortable padded leg rests, and an extended sun canopy with concealed zip sections and a transparent flap, and a retractable visor.

What's more, when it's folded, the Pace measures up at 56 x 43 x 32cm which means it passes for hand luggage with Easyjet and Ryanair, among others. Two buttons on either side are easy utilize and press into the appropriate position.

The fabric of the seat is machine washable, and the frame and faux leather grips are easy to wipe down. It's also quieter than other pushchairs and I felt at ease using it in busy urban streets. A bonus feature is that it incorporates accessory points, which means you can add footmuffs parasols, changing bags and even a tray for snacks. You can also use the hood to block rain and wind, though it's not waterproof. It's a single stroller, but you can add their Comfort 3 wheeled travel system Board (not included) to give your child a bit of legroom. It took around 20 minutes to set up the bassinet, and the same amount of time to convert it to the seat.
