Three Wheeled Buggies

Three-wheeled buggies are ideal for walking around the neighborhood or jogging. Their compact design makes them easy to maneuver, even in tight spaces.

Sturdy frame

The latest figures have been released that show that the three-wheeled vehicle - that noughties symbol of more money than wisdom is in a decline. Four-wheelers have replaced them, which are more versatile and easy to drive and look fashionable.

The bigger the wheels are, the better your buggy will cope with uneven surfaces and bumpy pavements. The larger wheels on both the front and back makes it easier to manoeuvre and more stable when walking downhill or over difficult terrain.

MFM reviewer Kath tested this buggy with a newborn baby and a toddler and found it very durable. It handled grass, cobbles and rough pavements, aswell as dirt tracks and kerbs. She said that it felt solid to push and very stable on difficult terrain. The tyres, that are inflatable and need to be pumped regularly and have a suspension built-in. This was extremely comfortable for my kids.

The size and shape of the seat is another thing to consider. It is important for the seat to be big enough to allow your child to feel at ease and to lie down. Some three-wheel buggies offer an option to lie flat completely while others allow an adult facing one.

An excellent option for taking on off-road and muddy walks is the Roma Atlas. Larger wheels

Many three wheeled buggies feature rotating front wheels that assist you in maneuvering around corners with ease, whereas others are designed for running and have fixed front wheels that lock to improve the speed and stability with which they can be pushed. This is also useful if you crash into trees or a kerb. The front wheel will lift slightly to prevent hitting it.

Luckily, most models have compact folding options that allow you to take off the front wheels to make compact storage.

Easy to maneuver

A three-wheeled buggy is easier to maneuver with a child. The way they are built ensures that the front wheels rotate on a dime and are extremely easy to manoeuvre, making them ideal for difficult terrains like cobbles, parks or bumpy pavements, as well as dirt tracks.

MFM reviewer Kath tried out a three-wheeler with her newborn and toddler and stated: "The Terrain was a pleasure to maneuver over tough ground and the swivel front wheel being particularly helpful. I was also impressed with how well it dealt with kerbs, especially when using the hand-operated brake. I found it extremely stable when driving downhill or over uneven ground."

The only downside of this amazing maneuverability is that the three wheel buggy's larger wheels do sometimes mean it has to struggle in tight spaces - something to keep in mind if you live in a urban region. If this is a concern, a 4-3 wheel travel stroller buggy might be better for you.
