The handlebar is low, which could be a problem for parents who are taller. It's covered in a soft, comfortable leather-like material, and is easy to clean.

The parking brake keeps the stroller on its feet while you rest. The handle can be adjusted by more than 30cm, to fit mum or dad.

However the stroller is strong and versatile and is a good option for families with active children.

The Pace is another great offering from Red Kite, an affordable British brand that is known for its easy-to-use and simple essentials for parents. It's the newest and most expensive version of their bargain light stroller line. It like the Ickle Bubba Aurora and Yoyo it's car seat-compatible which means you can use it right from birth (the carrycot folds away).

The new Pace boasts some fantastic design elements, like the rose gold hue to the hood, chassis and stroller trims, which really set it apart from its competition. The cream, grey, and tan fabrics on the stroller and the car seat are fashionable and there's an option to add a co-ordinating handle for the cover and bumper bar too.

The stroller seat is used from birth until a maximum weight of 22kg. It converts easily into a 2-in-1 reversible position, which is either parent-facing or facing the world. The stroller seat has several lie-back positions, plus comfortable padded leg rests, and an extended sun canopy with concealed zip sections and a transparent flap, and a retractable visor.

When folded, the Pace measures 56 33cm x 43cm x 32cm which makes it suitable for hand luggage on Easyjet and Ryanair. It's also easy to fold down, using two buttons on either side of the handlebar that just need to be pressed in and pop up.

Its unique chassis has a shorter 3 wheel travel stroller width, making it more manoeuvrable than its predecessor. I tested it with my two children one of whom is eight weeks old and the other toddler - on rough pavements as well as grassy wooded paths and even cobblestones.

The wheels that are puncture-proof are large in size - 22cm and a whopping 30cm - therefore they are able to handle all kinds of terrain. The wheels have a flap that can be shut or opened to let air in when required. It's a little larger than some pushchairs but it doesn't feel bulky or heavy when you're pushing it over bumpy surfaces.

The seat fabric is machine washable and the frame and faux leather grips are simple to wipe down. It is also quieter than other pushchairs and I was comfortable with it on busy city streets. One of the advantages is that it incorporates accessory points. This means you can add footmuffs, parasols, changing bags, and even a tray for snacks. You can also use the hood to block rain and wind, but it's not particularly waterproof. The single pram is able to be fitted with the Comfort Wheeled Board (not included) which allows your child more legroom. The bassinet took 20 minutes to set-up, and it took about the same amount of time to convert it into an actual seat.
