Evenflo Pivot Xplore stroller wagon is a great choice for parents looking for a versatile stroller. It is also more difficult to fold than many of the other models and does not secure when folded. It is easy to maneuver however, and it is able to fit through narrow 28 inches doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This basic double stroller from Delta Children is an excellent option for parents seeking a budget-friendly secondary travel stroller. It scored high in our Strollers and Multiples Test for weight and fold dimensions, meaning it is lightweight and compact when folded and easy to lift and store into a car trunk. It also offers the option of reclining in multiple positions and a cup holder for the parent. Other important features include two large hanging storage bags and 360-degree front wheels that absorb shock.

In our test of push and turn it performed better than most of the other cheap strollers we tested, but it's still not the most maneuverable over uneven ground or through narrow doors. The sunshades it has are among the smallest we tested, offering only a direct overhead coverage and no peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have significantly larger canopies.

It took us just under 3 minutes to put together the Delta using a standard manual. All of the components required tools. It's lacking certain features we believe are essential in double strollers. These include an extra-large basket, reclining seats and adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is the newest version of Maxi-Cosi's pushchair range and is advertised as an urban single travel stroller system. It is designed to take infants from birth until around 3.5 years, converting easily between a seat and a carrycot with only a few clicks. It can also be used with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats and comes complete with the light Mico 30 infant car seat, a stay-incar base, and a reversible car.

The seat can be reclined using one hand and the large shopping basket makes it simple for parents to help their child in and out. The narrow pushchair sailed through everyday bumps and doorways easily.

The front wheels can be locked into forward positions or let them swivel which can be helpful when crossing rough terrain. We allowed the front wheels to swivel while walking along a stony path. It handled this reasonably well, though it did seem a little more bumpy.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is famous for their all-terrain, 3-wheeler pushchairs for jogging, but they also make a good assortment of strollers with four wheels. The City Tour 2 is one of their most sought-after models. It is simple to use and folds down small enough to fit in a car boot even with the carrycot attached.

It's a little heavier than other strollers we tested but the wheels are rubber composite, so it feels sturdy and sturdy. It maneuvers expertly across different types of terrain and it's easy to carry even with two kids and a shopping bag.

Both the seat and the carrycot come with hoods that are able to be lower to reveal a UV50and sun canopy extensions. They are waterproof and strong, unlike some other pram hoods that get bounced back into toddlers' faces.

It's not a lot of storage space, however it does come with a huge basket that's deep enough for an infant's changing bag and plenty of food items. You can also connect it with a Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a traveling system for infants up to 20 pounds (car seat and adapters are sold separately). If you need a stroller that is able to be taken on the road, the City Tour 2 is an excellent choice.

It also comes with a travel system ready with the option to include a car seat or carrycot using the adaptors that come with it. The brakes are simple to use using a single travel stroller action, colour coded and flip-flop-friendly.

7. Babyzen Duet

This budget single jogging stroller pushchair is surprisingly easy to handle and comes with great dual suspension, one-hand fold and a convenient carry strap. It's also extremely light and sturdy. The seat can be reclined into many positions and comes with a built-in double breathable mattress that's suitable from birth.

The canopy/seat comes with two big sun visors that can be fixed or removed. Both are UPF50+. The toggle closure isn’t ideal because it's not as quiet as Velcro and could cause sleepy babies to wake up.

The Duet is a side-byside stroller and can be set up to accommodate twins or other siblings (up to a maximum of 22kg per seat). It's compatible with two infant car seats and even works with a few carrycots. In twin mode seats, the seats can be placed so that they face each the other. They can also be set to face the parents. This can help to reduce sibling arguments over who sits with mom and dad. It comes with a large tray for gears as well as a bottle holder and snack trays. It also has an automated frame lock and a superior compact fold.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2

The Thule Urban Glide 2 is a jogger designed for parents who like to stay active. It also has an innovative twist hand brake that's different from the lever type found on competing models.

The seat is well-padded and has plenty of room to sit in, however the depth of the seat is lower than other joggers we've tested (it's about 10"). The storage bin is covered with a zipper to keep things secure. It can hold up to 10 pounds. This is enough for most diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 isn't compatible with infant car seats or bassinets as it comes, but you can use it from day one with the purchase of adapters to most seats from brands such as BOB, Graco, Combi, Evenflo, Britax, and UPPAbaby. It is simple to fold and assemble in 5-10 minutes without any tools. The user manual is easy to read and comes in a variety of languages.
