If you're on a budget and don't need a stroller that can double as a car seat carrier, the Babyzen Yoyo is a good option. It features a flip-flop-friendly one-step footbrake.

It's easy to push, and it is solid when traversing kerbs and woodland trails. It's also easy to fold.

The Xplore also comes with two canopies that turn from front to back, ensuring ample sun protection for all family members. It has a smaller footprint than some wagons. This may not be suitable for long journeys or napping.

The frame of the Xplore wagon is solid and sturdy, but it doesn't bend as much as other wagons we test. It is also more difficult to fold than many of the competition, and it does not secure when folded. It is easy to maneuver however, and it is able to fit through narrow 28 inches doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This bare-bones double stroller from Delta Children is an excellent choice for parents looking for a budget-friendly secondary travel stroller. It earned an eye-catching score in our Strollers and Multiples test for weight and size folded, which means it's very lightweight, small when collapsed and easy to put into a trunk of a car or closet. It also comes with a multi-position reclined seat and cup holders for the parent. Other important features include 360-degree shock-absorbing front wheels and two large hanging storage bags.

It performed better in our push and turn test than most of the other strollers we tested, but it is nonetheless difficult to maneuver on uneven ground or through narrow doors. The sunshades it has are among the most compact we tested, with only direct overhead coverage, and no windows that peek out. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have much larger sunshades.

It took us just under 3 minutes to put together the Delta with a standard manual. All of the components required tools. It's missing certain features we believe are essential for double strollers. This includes an extra-large basket, reclining seats and leg rests that can be adjusted.

The seat can be reclined with one hand, and the large shopping basket makes it easy for parents to get their child in and out. Despite this being quite a narrow pushchair it handled the everyday bumps with ease and was able to pass through doorways without fuss.

The front wheels are able to be locked in a forward-facing position or pivot. This is useful for navigating through rough terrain. We allowed the front wheels to rotate during our walk on an uneven path. It was able to handle this well, though it did seem a little rougher.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is known for their all-terrain, 3-wheeler Jogging pushchairs, however they also make a good range of 4-wheeler strollers. City Tour 2 is their most popular model. It is simple to use and folds down small enough to fit in a car boot even with the carrycot attached.

It's a little heavier than other strollers we tested however the wheels are made of rubber composite, so it feels sturdy and sturdy. It is able to maneuver effortlessly across all types of terrain. It's easy to carry, even when loaded with two kids and shopping bags.

The seat and carrycot both come with hoods with pull-down UV50+ sun canopy extensions. They are durable and waterproof, in contrast to other prams hoods which can be blown back into toddlers faces.

It doesn't have a lot of storage space, but it comes with a large basket deep enough to hold a changing bag or plenty of groceries. This budget pushchair is simple to use and has a great dual suspension. It can be folded using just one hand, and comes with a convenient carrying strap. It is also lightweight and durable. The seat can be reclined in several positions. It comes with a built-in double breathable mattress that is suitable for babies from birth.

The canopy/seat comes with two large sun visors that are either fixed or flipped out. Both are UPF50+. The toggle closure isn’t ideal as it’s not as quiet as Velcro, and can cause sleepy babies to wake up.

The Duet is a side-byside stroller and can be adapted to accommodate twins or other siblings (up to 22kg maximum per seat). It is compatible with two infant car seat and some carrycots. In twin mode, the seats can face each other or can rotate around to face their parents, potentially cutting down on sibling rivalries over who sits with mom and dad.
