The sequel to Supergiant Games 2020 roguelike Hades is expected to be released in the year 2019. It's an opportune move that raises the stakes and offers a deeper look at familial politics.

Melinoe is back to kill Chronos the titan of time. Along the journey, she'll encounter new gods such as the personifications of the light Apollo and witchcraft goddess Hecate as well as the deity of revenge Nemesis.

The original Hades is a modern classic. This sequel however, blows it away in almost every way. The roguelite has more depth and a satisfying combat experience than before. It feels like a fully realized game that is just waiting for a few more details to become a masterpiece.

Aside from its stunning visuals, Hades 2 introduces a host of new and intriguing characters and features that enrich the experience and test players in ways they have never imagined. Aside from the new gods and shades that make up the Underworld There's also a array of other items to collect and improve by using Incantations, which is which are a system of constant upgrades that are available throughout every run. Melinoe is able to craft new spells and improve her Nocturnal Armor and Nocturnal Weapons. She can also harvest items from the Crossroads Camp for future runs and unlock weapons, boons and other tools.

Another welcome addition is the addition of more open areas, Oscar Reys (head to the Oscarreys site) which provide a variety of different routes to explore each region and a constantly changing setting to explore. Each region offers a unique perspective on the Underworld. Some are more accessible than others, but all provide unique challenges that separate them from other roguelites.

Supergiant also tweaked the gameplay a bit in the early access version, cutting down some of the grinding required to unlock certain upgrades, and making it easier to move from one zone to the next. There's still a lot of work to be completed before the game can be released full release, but Supergiant has made it clear that it's determined to maximize player feedback and keep working to bring Hades 2 to a perfect state.

Supergiant is famous for its ability to listen to its players, and address any issues that arise. 3. Hades 2 Beta

Hades was a roguelike unlike the rest when it was released in the year 2018. The game received numerous awards and is considered one of the most enjoyable games ever made. Seven years later, after the first release, Hades 2 is finally making its way into early access. While it's not changed much mechanically, Supergiant's love for and dedication to Hades 2 are evident from the beginning.

According to the Steam page for Hades 2, the game "brings back all the elements that made the first so special such as the isometric view clearing rooms, selecting boons, unleashing powerful attacks, the hub world, with a variety of fully voiced characters to talk with and learn from, the ever-shifting Underworld, and more."

In addition to these reintroduced features, the technical test introduces new ones too. You can unlock permanent upgrades for Melinoe and a brand new weapon. You can also train witchy companions, uncover mysteries at the Arcana Altar and gather reagents to increase your skills.

The most exciting addition is probably Omega attacks, which are a new way to boost the power of your spells and weapons. These attacks will charge your magick meter and allow you to unleash devastating attacks with huge effects over a vast area. It's a great new method to add variety to the moment-to-moment actions of combat.

The beta for Hades 2 is available on both Steam and the Epic Games Store. Supergiant has promised that they will keep players informed as they work towards a 1.0 release by 2024. 4. Hades 2 Release Date
