iRobot Combo j7+

The Combo j7+ takes the excellent Roomba J7 vacuum and puts the wet mopping feature. The robot can remove sticky spills while avoiding obstacles. It returns to its dock following its cleaning process. It's a great choice for homes with hardwood floors and can also be used to clean tiles or rugs with a mix of surfaces.

Like all Roomba models, the Combo J7+ is a pro at absorbing dirt and debris. PrecisionVision and iRobot OS help the robot to navigate with greater efficiency. It can steer clear of common objects, like cords or pet messes. The iRobot Combo j7+ is able to avoid furniture, like tall chairs with backs that could trap the robot beneath them.

When the iRobot Combo j7+ detects that it is on a surface which needs to be cleaned it raises its arm and swings a mopping pad underneath it. This is an incredibly intuitive system, and it performed well during my testing. It was not able to remove water-based liquids such like juice or wine. Thankfully the mopping pad could be easily cleaned and reused.

The iRobot Combo's front camera is also quite useful. It can spot potential hazards, such as power cables and pet waste, and steer clear of them to ensure a thorough clean. This feature is superior to the cameras on most other robot vacuums, as they often get caught up on things like rug tassels. It's worth noting that the iRobot Combo ju7+'s front camera is susceptible to blind spots and could miss certain objects.

The iRobot Combo ju7+ is expensive, however it performs well enough to justify the cost. It has a good score from customers, and they love its clever features. It's worth looking into alternatives, such as the Ecovacs Deebot X1 Omni. It's less expensive than iRobot Combo h7+, and it can heed voice commands without needing for third-party integration. It can also mop and vacuum in one go. It also has a large reservoir of water and its mopping pad is self-cleaning.

Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision

The Scout RX3 Home Vision is an entire robot vacuum and mop that comes with the features you'd expect from a top-end brand. You can remotely monitor your home using its camera and even see it work through the app (though the app doesn't offer the high-resolution image quality you can get from the camera).

Mops are excellent to clean tile carpets, wood and rugs as well as picking up dust, pet hair, and dirt. They also have effective obstacle avoidance, which doesn't push small and lightweight objects, like toys or socks, across the floor. It's one of the best self Emptying robot vacuum for Hardwood floors mopping robots that we've ever tested. It also comes with a magnetic strip that you can use to block off areas the robot isn't able to reach like rooms with many cables.

The robot is, however, short of other features of its type. While the mops do a fantastic job, their maximum running time is 60 minutes and is less than what we'd like to see on such a premium product. It also doesn't vacuum after a mopping session, or automatically empty its charging station.

It's still an excellent choice for those with big homes, as the mapping and cleaning processes are quick and efficient. The app is easy to navigate, and you can set up time frames for when it will work. You can still use the remote to control the device if you do not want to connect to a strong WIFI connection.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision may be expensive, but its many smart features make the difference. Its live home monitoring is great and it looks cool too. It's a great option for those with pets, small children, or anyone who wants to monitor their home when they are away. The majority of people who own a robotic mop and vacuum combination are amazed by the difference their floors make after using them frequently.

Roborock S7 Max Ultra

It comes with a variety of useful features like aggressive mopping, higher suction power (up to 5,100Pa as compared to the earlier models with 2,400Pa), and more. It also features a precise lidar navigation system that works in 3D similar to radar. This lets it observe things like baseboards, chair legs and furniture legs, so it can maneuver them with ease. It is also able to create customized cleaning routines that you can activate at a single tap for example, the "After meal" mode that intensely vacuums and scrubs kitchen floors.

This two-in-one features one unique feature not present in other robots. VibraRise raises the mopping pad when it detects carpeting, to keep the area rug from getting wet. It also makes mopping more effective. It also has a special deep-cleaning mode that vacuums and mops carpets in one go and removes more dust and dirt than mops that spin. The app can be used to schedule weekly cleanings or to clean on the spot.

While the S7 Max Ultra does a great job at its intended tasks however, it's not without its flaws. The most notable is the high cost. It's also the most expensive robotic mop and vacuum combination I've ever reviewed. Other issues aren't specific to this model but are more indicative of the robotic vacuum market as a whole: it doesn't handle heavy spills or sticky messes with ease.

The S7 Max Ultra is easy to set up: just plug it in and then sync it to your phone via Wi-Fi and then begin a clean-up. After you've completed this you can modify the settings of the app. For instance, you can set up no-go zones and schedule cleanings.

Another major benefit is its impressive obstacle avoidance system. During testing, it only slowed down twice in tight areas, which is superior to the S6 MaxV's three tries and the X1 Omni's four attempts. The app lets you mark an object as a temporary obstruction, and the S7 Max Ultra ignores it in future cleanings.

Narwal Freo

The Narwal Freo is one of the few robots that include vacuuming and mops into its design. It's among the most affordable combo bots we've tested. The Freo's impressive cleaning capabilities and numerous customization options make it a great option for any home that needs a combination cleaner. However, the absence of advanced obstacle avoidance features and an attractive app dampened our enthusiasm for this model.

The first thing you need to do is scan your space. This will help Freo map the area that it will cleanse. The process takes around one minute. Once the Freo knows the location of everything, it can navigate faster during subsequent cleanings.

Freo can also register a room to be used for mopping or dry vacuuming. This allows it to be more efficient in switching between the two functions. It's also smart enough to recognize when its mop pads are dirty and automatically return to the dock for a refill, then head back out to dry clean hard surfaces.

The Freo's ability to mop and vacuum carpets is a key strength. Its twin mops pads are automatically raised when the Freo is in contact with carpet and allows it to utilize less power and energy while still removing dirt. It also efficiently cleans up sand and oatmeal that has been spilled without requiring multiple vac/mop passes.

The Freo's unique side brushes tilted are based on street sweeper trucks and do well in taking in and sweeping out dirt particles. The Freo's round design and premium finish makes it a striking piece of equipment. You can interact with the robot via an LCD touchscreen on its base station, but we preferred to control it using the app on your smartphone.

The app provides a variety of options to customize Freo's behavior. This includes schedules for busy areas and spot cleanings. There's also the option of activating parental lock. You can also select the length of time that the Freo spends drying its mop pads and choose the frequency at which it emptys its dust bin. You can even set a maximum size for the trash bin.
