There's an Eco mode that runs the vacuum quietly and prolongs the run time, and Turbo mode delivers an even more powerful clean. The Turbo mode is loud, which can be annoying If you're using the D7 to watch TV or work.

The D7 is among the few robots capable creating and storing multiple floor plans. This is perfect for multi-level homes. It also has a quick boost function that allows it to return to its base, recharge and then resume cleaning. This is particularly helpful when you're cleaning tough areas. The Eufy 11S, like the Neato D7 is sleek and low profile. This helps it go under couches, beds and coffee tables with greater ease than other robot vacuums. It also comes with a few innovations that help it clean well and exactly where you want it to go, like no-go lines you can draw on its virtual maps to keep the robot from removing sensitive areas like pet bowls and beds. It also comes with an auto recharge and resume feature that, if the battery fails to charge before it has finished cleaning, it automatically makes its return to its base to charge and then returns to where it left off.

In our tests the RoboVac 11S performed better than its predecessor, eufy RoboVac 30C. It also did better than the ILIFE A4s and Bobsweep Bob Pro, and the ILIFE A4s. It is incredibly solid, comes with a wide set of navigation features and is simple to maintain. However it has a shorter capacity battery than other models and has higher cost-per-use.

The Q5 is among the most slow robots we've tested but its layout algorithm is reliable and doesn't require any extra attention after its first pass through a space. It begins by tracing a perimeter and then fills in the interior with parallel lines. Once it's finished, it returns to its charging station, or its starting location if it left the base.

It did a very respectable job of cleaning hardwood flooring by sucking up at most 88% of the dirt for each test. It struggled a bit more on high and low carpet however, it was better than the average unit. It also has mopping attachments for dealing with wet spills, although we didn't test this feature.

Its maneuverability is above average for a robot that has lidar, with it being able to softly bump into furniture and other obstacles. Its navigation system is able to detect stairs and multiple floors, allowing it to effectively take on multi-story homes. It also can identify specific rooms when you choose them in the app. It can also alter the power level, establish no-go zones, and display an interactive map of the area that is currently being cleaned. The Q5 can be controlled via the mobile app, as well as voice commands from Alexa Google Assistant and Apple Siri.
