Lever/Pad

It is important that when selecting the new set of upvc lever pad handles, they match the PZ (distance from the spindle of the handle to the center of the hole of the cylinder) of your multipoint door locks. This is because they need to be aligned in order for the doors to stay locked, regardless of whether you are looking at them from the inside or outside. Our handles are designed to fit a wide range of conventional cylinders, but it is a good idea to double-check prior to purchasing.

You will need to remove your existing handles and dismantle the lock case if you're upgrading to dual spindle handle levers as this will require a split cylinder inline. You can purchase these separately. We have included a technical diagram in the images of each product.

It is recommended to loosen the screws that are holding your existing door handle and then examine the mechanism. It is possible that you will need to loosen the screws a bit more when they aren't tight. Then you can take off the spindle and handle and put in your new upvc door handle. Before you screw the handle into position, it is recommended to make sure it is in the correct position. You can do this by inserting your finger into the gap between the door frame and the handle to make sure that it is in a level position.

Lever/Lever

Lever door handles for upvc windows function as with a multi-point lock that utilizes an Euro Cylinder and can be found on a majority of double glazing handle doors made of aluminium, upvc doors and a few wooden doors. They are equipped with a lever inside and an outside paddle and are generally available in two types. Sprung - They have a spring cassette installed within the backplate that helps bring the handle lever into a horizontal position. Once you've located it, you can loosen the set screw using the help of a screwdriver, and then take it off to allow the lever and return it to its horizontal position.

Once the handle is in a horizontal position, you can re-install the screws and tighten them to make sure the handle is secured to the base plate. Consider applying a threadlocking product to the screw threads in order to improve grip and prevent them from loosening over time.

There are many reasons why door handles of levers drop.
