Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary

Mulliner, Bentley's coachbuilding unit bespoke, has created a unique keycase to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Bentley. It is made of Dark stained Walnut with Piano Black Veneer and fob includes a fluttering "B" paperweight keys, as well as a booklet featuring never-before-seen 1930s 8 Litre images.

Bentley has released a special specification for cars made after 2019 to celebrate its centennial. This is called the Centenary Specification. This includes cross-stitching and contrast stitching in Centenary Gold thread throughout the cabin. The Bentley Wings are embroidered with Centenary Gold on the headrests seats, the interior and other areas of the car. This enhances the celebration. A bespoke Bentley key case is included in the Centenary Specification, making the Bentley experience all-inclusive.

Function

The Bentley Mulsanne Key features two buttons that open the trunk, and the second which starts the vehicle. It also has a button to turn on the parking break. There is a knob to fold and unfold the mirrors while parking in tight spaces. This feature helps you get into and out of your car.

Each key takes about two days to create. The key is cut by hand, shaped by hand, stitched and sealed, then polished to produce a premium result. It is lightweight and durable and matches the Bentley key perfectly. Its design is similar to the Volkswagen Phaeton large car's key however it feels heavier and has a premium feel.

Secure-A-Key is also included to help prevent keyless entry theft. The device is placed inside the remote-control key fob and disables it after a few minutes of inactivity. This prevents thieves from transmitting the key's frequency to other devices that could unlock and start the vehicle.

Bentley's distinctive design reflects the company's values of fine craftsmanship and engineering expertise. It also includes modern technology. Over 4,000 people work at its Crewe headquarters, where they are responsible for the design, development, fob and production of Bentley automobiles. Personalisation

The guests are given an individual key case created by hand that contains the R.F.I.D. enabled key cards. The keys can also be fitted with Bentley Muliner Personalised Welcome Lamps, which illuminate the door-opening path with the owner's name or emblem as they are approaching the vehicle.

Bentley estimates that it requires 500 man-hours to construct and build a Mulsanne. A key to that time-consuming effort is a reluctance to embrace the latest technology. The Crewe factory workers don't employ a machine to place perfectly matched leather seats. Instead, they do it by hand. And rather than using the car's built-in sensors to guide it into perpendicular and parallel parking spaces drivers must perform the task by hand.

During the event, Bentley displayed its Mulliner personalization capabilities by presenting one particular example of the Mulsanne W.O. The Mulsanne W.O. Edition pays tribute to the founding father of the brand, William Osler Bentley. The limited edition cars are available in 100. one key that features an image of the 1930 8 Litre's crankshaft.
