The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you are looking for a robot vacuum and mop that's mid-range. It's a great mopping capabilities, but is lacking certain of the more advanced features that are found in its more expensive counterpart.

During tests it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium pile. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't use LIDAR to map out your home.

iRobot Roomba s9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the best robot vacuum and mop for luxury vinyl plank floors-rated robots. It comes with a variety of features and impressive cleaning power, including a dirt compartment that is integrated into the base of charging. This robot can also learn your habits of cleaning and suggest automated schedules to ensure you have a hands-free experience.

Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once everything is connected, you can start the automated cleaning functions with the touch of one button. You can opt for an overall clean that emphasizes getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as cereal and rice, or opt for two thorough maps of your home to ensure that your home has a clean and tidy appearance.

This robot vacuum is effective both on bare floors and carpets with low pile. It can remove pet hair and sucks big objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It's a challenge with carpets that are high-pile or plush, but iRobot claims that future models will be more efficient.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which concentrates on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that has flat-fronted D-shaped designs. The company hopes that this will allow it to be able to hug walls and furniture. It's a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are widely used however we found it to be just marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also features superior filtration that blocks micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating within your home. We think it's a nice statement, but not enough to justify a higher price.

Its smart navigation system employs sensors that keep track of your home's layout, and vSLAM technology to map your interior. It can then clean your entire home efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and also set virtual boundary markers so that the robot knows which areas need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it comes to robots that combine mopping and vacuuming the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are as good as those found on higher-end models. The mopping system is better because its spinning pads scrub your floors much more efficiently than a vibrating pad.

The only drawback is the absence of a second brush to allow for deeper cleaning. However, it's not a major issue if you want to own one of the best robots on the market. The robo-vac's dust tank is larger than many of its competitors and takes only two or three cycles to fill it up, even at the highest dirt level.

In terms of the mopping device, I was impressed by its ability to scrub the tough dirt off my floors. Its two mopping modes at the lowest, which are less aggressive than the high-powered ones, produce very little noise, which allows you to work or watch TV without interruption. If it encounters an object, such as a wall or piece of furniture it gently smacks into it and then moves forward.

The Q Revo is unique in that it runs almost completely on its own, with no user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac is multifunctional and can automatically transfer trash into a hidden bin. It also cleans, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app is capable of nagging you only when something needs attention, like the water tank being empty or a scheduled vacuuming session that was cancelled due to a stuffed dust bin.

You can also create or combine rooms to customize the way that Q Revo manages your home. This is an excellent feature if you have multiple areas of the home with different floor materials or if there's a lot of clutter that needs to be cleaned out regularly, such as toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac was also one of the top performers in my test, picking up debris on carpets as well as hardwood floors with the first go. It can even vacuum up wet spills. I recommend drying the area with a towel prior to sending it in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum with all the features you could need. It comes with an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It's akin to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has self-cleaning bases that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads, keeping them free of germs and ready to use again. It also has a new sensor system that can better detects obstacles, granting it the ability to avoid falling over furniture or other objects.

The biggest difference over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this version is sleeker and more modern design thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). Although it's still quite large--it's more than two feet high and deep and weighs almost four pounds--the entire robot and its base are much smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1 one, because it charges faster and can handle a complete cleaning of about 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a larger and more robust dustbin that can store more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant and an app that works even when you're at home. It also has more mopping modes and an intelligent routing feature that allows you to clean certain rooms or areas of your home instead of just following a set path.

The X2 Omni has the best smart robot vacuum and mop mopping performance of any robot we've tested due to its mop pads that rotate to remove tough stains and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming is excellent as well and it enhances suction when it detects carpet to ensure it's doing an excellent job. It comes with a huge rechargeable battery that lasts up to one week. The mopping mode of the robot is also powerful.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium mop and vacuum robot that comes with a host of convenience features that you aren't likely to find on robots in this price range. It can create detailed floor maps and detect different flooring types. It's also one of the only robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. While these features are useful however, they also push the L10s Ultra into the category of luxury which could make it a little more expensive than the average homeowner require.

It is designed to look like a contemporary floor cleaner The L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device that has an elegant white finish that's enhanced by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine has an impressive bumper that protects the vacuum robotic cleaner and mop and furniture as you move around your home. Sensors are hidden behind the front panel, which help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button that acts as an on/off switch. The button will activate the vacuum. Clicking it again will turn it off and send it back to its base station. The center of the control panel is the circular menu which allows you to select cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons on the screen will bring up the settings menu in which you can tweak the way that the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technologies to map out your home. This allows the robot to mop and vacuum efficiently without getting stuck. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and identify them and avoid them, which is a great feature for homes with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra provides solid vacuuming performance which clears 98.4 percent of debris from our test on the hard floor and getting rid of all but the most difficult juice stain. Its mops also do a great job, removing 98.4 percent of debris from our carpet, tile and wood tests. It was not as effective in removing sand from our hard floor or quaker oatmeal from the carpet.
