The X2 Omni is the latest in Ecovacs line of hybrid robot vacuum-mop robots. This wet/dry model is equipped with the latest AIVI 3D2.0 lidar system Ecovacs, which gives improved mapping and obstruction avoidance. The system uses dual-laser LiDAR similar to the kind you'll find in self-driving vehicles and is able to scan up to 32 feet wide by 270 degrees. This results in more precise mapping, quicker response times, and higher cleaning accuracy.

It also features a rotating mopping pad constructed of chenille, which makes it much easier to scrub difficult areas more effectively unlike traditional mop. In my tests, the X2 Omni took just over a minute to wash its pad before getting to work. I also noticed that it was much more accurate than previous models that were able to follow a grid-like path around rooms. It was able to navigate my rooms with its corners and edges and also create an "Zambani pattern" that ran up and down the center of the room. It also returned to its OMNI station frequently to empty the dust bin and clean the mop using hot water before starting another task of cleaning.

The X2 Omni is as easy to use and set up as other Ecovacs products. Place the dock in its place, plug it in and pair it with your home WiFi network. It takes only about a minute. You can then open the app to start your first cleaning project. I was able dive into the settings and personalize my floor plan within about 15 minutes, including creating specific areas to sweep and mop and reworking my furniture placements, and so on. The X2 Omni was impressive during my tests. It scored well in the areas of pet hair removal and debris removal, and also had near-perfect results for edge and crevices cleaning.

2. Deebot T10 Omni

If you need a powerful combination of mopping and vacuuming, check out the EcoVACS Deebot T10 Omni. It is the most advanced of the T-line of the brand and comes with the brand's new OZMO Turbo 2.0 mopping system which uses dual-spinning brushes for better cleaning than traditional oscillating scrubbers. It comes with YIKO, Vacuum Mop Pet Hair a natural language processing technology that is a first of its kind. This allows it to respond to various voice commands. You can use the ECOVACS app to map your home, establish cleaning schedules and adjust settings.

The most significant issue with the T10 Omni is that it's unable to switch from mopping to vacuuming in one go. The two modes require you attach and remove mop heads according to the need, which is fine for most homes, but isn't suitable for people who have a busy schedule.

The Deebot T10 Omni is an excellent robot vacuum and delivers impressive results in our tests for pet hair. It removed more than 96% debris from our hardwood floors. This is an excellent performance. It was a success on tiles and carpets cleaning up 99% of dirt.

It also comes with an auto-emptying 3L bag that is easy to replace and hot air drying for quick and easy maintenance. While Anker-owned Eufy is well known in the world of robot vacuums but this model is its first foray into the world of mopping. It has upgraded intelligence, multiple map support, LIDAR scanning and twin-turbine technology that adjusts automatically to the floor you're cleaning. It's a mid-range cleaner that's appealing even if its promise of being a one-stop-shop for floor cleaning doesn't make sense.

The X8 Hybrid looks like a traditional robotic vacuum cleaner from the top, with its circular shape, sweeping wheels and a raised area for sensors. Flip it over, however you'll see an electric floor brush as well as a single side sweeper that pushes dirt from the edges into the main pathway of the robot's mouth. It's a bit smaller than the main brushes of the iRobot Roomba S9 which I found made it easier to reach under chairs and couches.

Its mapping system is fairly sophisticated, allowing you to set no-mop zones and specific cleaning zones. It has a tendency of bumping into things, including its own charging station, and isn't great at climbing over carpets. It was capable of removing pet hair from floors that were bare, though, and in our tests it took in 89.5% of kitty litter, which is higher than all but the most powerful robots we've tested.

The X8 Hybrid is controlled via an app, however it also has a set of physical buttons at its base. These buttons let you choose a cleaning mode or turn off the robot. This robot did well in our tests on hardwood floors and food particles. It ate everything, from one rice grain to a variety of pet food pieces in only one sweep. It had some difficulty transitioning to carpets, however, this vacuum cleaner is ideal for rooms that have different flooring types and a mix of pets.

It's a bit expensive, but if you can afford it, this is a great option for those who want to be able to leave their homes free to do other tasks or to take care of chores. The A4s Pro also offers a convenient auto cleaning mode that boosts suction power to tackle difficult spills and dirt, and it includes batteries that power the ElectroWall that allows you to define boundaries where the robot isn't allowed to enter.

This budget-friendly model from a popular upstart brand is the most affordable robot we've tested yet and offers an outstanding value for money. Its navigation system is basic and uses an extremely basic random pathing algorithm that isn't equipped with room mapping capabilities, making it less time efficient than the other models on this list. It's still able get under furniture and into the corners. Mopping mode performed well in our tests, picking up stray hair and other debris.

5. Shark iQ

Shark's iQ might not be as durable however, it's better in removing pet hair from all surfaces. It gets rid of floors with less efficiently and does a decent job on carpets with a low pile and also uses smart-pathing navigational technology for superior maneuverability. It can be positioned to a specific location, and has a suite of advanced automation features including no-go zones and schedules. It also lets you stop and restart a cleaning session which is ideal for homes with pets.

The self-cleaning brushroll is able to prevent tangles with pet hair and other debris and its bagless self-emptying docking station can hold up to 30 days worth of dirt prior to needing to be cleaned. It comes with angled side brushes to reach into corners, as well as a multi-stage filter system that collects dust, allergens and dander.

The robot vacuum feels sturdy and well-built. It has a smartphone app that lets you change the settings for your vacuum and plan cleaning sessions ahead of time.
