1. IRobot Roomba i3+ EVO

The iRobot Roomba i3+ is an excellently constructed robot with an enormous dirt compartment that automatically drains into the docking station when full. It will then begin cleaning after it's recharged. It has a large dirt storage compartment on its exterior that automatically emptys when it is full to the docking stations, and then will resume cleaning once it has been recharged. It's effective in removing small and medium debris from floors that are bare but it isn't as effective in removing pet hair and is a major cause of regular costs.

This robot, like the i3 EVO uses iRobot’s iAdapat navigation software to learn and remember your home. It also has an option that automatically adjusts its head height and suction power depending on the floor type it's working on.

It performed admirably during our tests on hard floors as well as low-pile, removing the majority of the smaller, less difficult debris that we deposited on each surface, and the larger crumbs of cereal we placed on the floor. It's not as adept in dealing with pet hair than some of the top models we've tested however, and it may become stuck on cords or toys when you don't pick them up before sending the robot to clean.

In our tests, it cleaned for around 90 minutes before the battery ran out and then returned to its base. It was more efficient than the i7+ and s9+ which ran for just 60 minutes in our tests. The i3+ EVO has a good history of recalling its previous run, which we've not seen with other robots.

The i3+ EVO dustbin measures 1.5 quarts, which is smaller than the majority of other robots that we tested. It has a release button on one side of the bin, which you press to empty it. You can also empty it by using the docking station’s Clean Base Automatic Dirt disposal system, which sucks up the dustbin's contents before emptying it into station's external dirt bag.

2. Eureka Q5 Pro

The Q5 Pro offers outstanding cleaning efficiency, with 5,500pa suction and mopping technology that can be up and running in just a few minutes. The 770ml water tank and dustbin reduce the frequency of emptying, and its capacity is large, allowing longer mopping sessions. The 240-minute runtime makes it a great option for homes with larger spaces. The robot's intelligent navigation system, which is based on PreciSense LiDAR mapping, ensures that it covers the entire space and is able to navigate around obstacles.

The Q5 Pro is unlike some other robot vacuums that require Wi-Fi to function. However, its battery life is rather small, so you will need to charge it frequently if you plan to use the robot for a long period of time. It is relatively easy to maintain, with a dirt bag which can be easily replaced, and a simple maintenance schedule. It is also a bit cheaper than the more expensive rivals.

The Q5 Pro can be a little finicky when it is dealing with pet hair and bulkier debris, though it's a great product overall. In our tests, the Q5 Pro was able to remove more debris from carpet and floors with low pile than Dirt Devil Endura Max. However, it was unable to getting into the tight corners and high-pile recessed areas. It is also more flexible, and its filtering system does a great job of capturing allergens. The straight suction floorhead of the vacuum is too small for large or heavy debris. It also has some minor issues, like its lack advanced features and the limited functionality of the remote control. Despite these limitations however, the Eureka Q5 Pro is a solid option for those who are looking for an affordable robot vacuum with mopping capabilities.

3. SwitchBot K10 Plus

The SwitchBot K10 plus is a great option for those who want a powerful vacuum that can also mop. This little robot has a small size which allows it to fit into tight spaces such as corners and under furniture that larger robots can't reach. It also has a sophisticated LiDAR sensor that is able to detect obstacles and avoid collisions.

During our tests the K10 Plus vacuumed up pet hair dust, crumbs and other particles quickly and efficiently from our carpet. It was also able to get into tight spaces like under our bed or around the legs of our chairs. It can mop using a separate cloth or use a wet cloth. There's a small set of wet wipes with the K10 Plus to get you started.

The application for K10 Plus is easy to use and intuitive. It provides a variety of customization options like setting a no disruption time, altering the map layout and setting a schedule for when you'd like it to clean. The app tracks the lifespan of your accessories such as the side brush, sensor and bin filter. This can be useful in determining when it's time to replace them.

The battery life of the K10 Plus is also pretty good. After a full charge, we were able get three hours of cleaning. It also charges very quickly. When it's finished with its task, it ejects the dirt into a large dustbin located in its base station. It can be quite loud, but not as loud compared to other robot vacuums we've test.

4. iRobot S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is part of the premium S Series of the manufacturer that is above models like the iRobot Roomba j7 or iRobot Roomba i3. It is very effective on various floor surfaces and Bagless programmed cleaners maneuvers effectively around furniture. The main brushroll comes with counter-rotating scrapers made of rubber that effectively remove the majority of debris, including pet hair from carpets and bare floors. Its real-world suction power is powerful for a robotic vacuum, but isn't as strong as the power of top brands like the Roborock S8.

The Roomba S9+'s design is clearly premium, with a D-shaped body that appears more bagless modern vacuum than its circular competitors. This shape helps it to reach corners and mangatal.uk along edges with ease. Although it may leave dust in these areas in the event that the corner brush isn't spinning quickly enough, its powerful motor more than makes up for this.

In iRobot's tests it was found that the S9+ was able to remove kitty litter and pet hair with ease. It also performed exceptionally well on hard floors, where it utilized its powerful motor to blast through all kinds of debris, and clean all edges and corners effortlessly. Its vSLAM-based advanced technology and Imprint Smart Mapping technology also made it one of the top navigators we've tested, with a rock-solid grasp of the floorspace it could even locate its ways under sofas or beds with a valance draped over them.

Setup and operation are easy using the iRobot application. You can choose the functions you want to activate during the initial set up process or wait until you have a better feel for how it works. The internal bin has to be empty manually when it becomes full however, the process only takes about 15 minutes and is fairly quiet.

5. Roborock S8

The latest version of the Roborock S series is an impressive mop and robot vacuum with a robust feature set. It makes use of the LIDAR and camera system to avoid obstacles and navigate, just like its predecessors. Its mapping system creates a 3D map of your home that you can view in the app, and it allows you to define no-go zones, or certain rooms to be cleaned. The app allows you to set the robot's schedule and choose different mopping and vacuuming modes for each room.

The S8 features upgraded HyperForce suction, which is able to pick up fine hair and particles easily. The app allows you to alter the power of suction. The device can automatically switch between energy-efficient 'Quiet Balanced' and 'Turbo" modes depending on the surface it is cleaning. It also comes with an Carpet Suction Boost mode that increases suction while the robot is on rugs.

The S8 can be controlled using one button that serves as a 'Cleaning' button for the entire robot or the Spot Clean button to direct it to a specific area. It is also possible to press the 'Dock/Home' button in order to send the robot back to its base station. The app is easy to use and offers a variety of features that are quite surprising. You can even choose the time you charge your phone off-peak to save money on peak-time energy.

The only issue with the S8 is that the battery won't last the amount of time I'd like. It lasted only 130 minutes when I used it on normal settings, with both vacuuming & mopping turned on. It's still an impressive amount of time and was enough to completely clean my home.
