The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great choice if you are seeking a robot vacuum and mop that's priced in the middle. It's a great mopping performance but lacks certain of the more advanced features of its more expensive sibling.

During testing it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium-pile. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't utilize LIDAR to map out your home.

1. IRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It comes with a variety of features and incredible cleaning power, including the dirt compartment integrated into the base of charging. This robot can recognize your cleaning habits, and suggest automatic schedules to provide you with a truly hands-free cleaning experience.

Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once the system is setup, you can start automatic cleaning with a single button press. You can choose a general clean that prioritizes getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as cereal and rice or two detailed maps of your area to ensure that your home gets a proper look.

This robot vac performs well on both bare floors and carpet with a low pile. It can remove pet hair and also suck large objects up. It doesn't lose suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It's not the best time with high-pile or plush carpet, but iRobot says it will improve in the future with new models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that is focused on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are standard, but we found it only marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also has a superior filtration system, which prevents micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. It's a nice premise, however, we're not convinced that it's enough to justify the premium price price.

Its smart navigation system uses a combination of sensors to remember your home's layout and vSLAM technology to map the interior. This allows it to avoid obstacles, like stairs and other barriers and to tidy up your entire house in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and schedule cleaning times, as well as set up virtual boundary markers, so it knows to avoid areas that require more attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robot that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vacuum settings are just as good as those on higher-end models. Its mopping system is even better as its spinning pads scrub your floors much better than the vibrating pads.

The only drawback is that it does not have a second rubber brush for deeper cleaning, but it's an acceptable cost to pay if are looking for one of the top robots on the market. In terms of the mopping device, I was amazed by its ability to scrub tough dirt from my floors. The two lowest mopping settings, which are less powerful than high-powered ones, create little noise, so you can work or watch TV without being distracted. It will gently bump into furniture or walls and then move on when it encounters one.

What distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost completely autonomously, requiring only a little for user intervention. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that automatically transfers physical garbage into the bin hidden from view, as well as cleans and drys the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. While still quite big--it's over two feet tall and deep and weighs in excess of four pounds--the robot itself and its base are much less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This version is more efficient than the X1 as it charges faster and can clean 1,500 square feet in one charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger, more durable dustbin to hold more debris and is easier to empty when needed.

Additionally, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app and an assistant voice that works offline, so you can use it even if you're not home. It also comes with a smart routing function that lets it clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of following a predetermined path.

The Omni X2 Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested due to its mop pads that rotate to clean tough stains away and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming is excellent too and it increases suction when it senses carpets to ensure that it does an excellent job. It also has a massive battery that can last for weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as efficient as anything we've seen in the market for a consumer robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium mop and robot vacuum that comes with a variety of convenience features you don't often see on robots in this price. It has the ability to create detailed floor maps, detect various flooring types and is among the few robots that automatically wash and dry its mop pads. These features are great, but they also push the L10s into the class of luxury. This might make it more expensive than what homeowners would need.

Created to look like a modern floor cleaner The L10s Ultra is a tall and slim machine with an elegant white finish enhanced by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine has an enormous bumper that shields the vacuum cleaner and furniture while moving around your home. In the pane in the front is additional navigation technology with sensors that help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, you'll find one button that acts as an on/off switch. Pressing this will activate the vacuum, and clicking it again will turn off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The center of the control panel is the circular menu which lets you choose cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons beneath the screen will open up the app's settings menu where you can modify the way that the L10s Ultra works with your home.

Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technology to help you map out your home. The L10s Ultra provides solid vacuuming performance, clearing 98.4% of debris from our hardwood floor test and taking out all but the most stubborn juice stains.
