Amazon Cancels iRobot Deals

Amazon has canceled its planned acquisition of Roomba maker iRobot. The company claimed that the deal had to overcome "undue regulatory hurdles." The company will pay iRobot a breakup fee of $94 million.

The move came after the European Commission, the EU's executive arm and the top antitrust enforcer, announced that it had a "preliminary opinion" that the acquisition could affect competition.
